This Privacy Policy explains how MyOwnHomeCare Ltd. collects, uses, discloses, safeguards, and retains personal information through this website and related communications.
We are governed primarily by British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Where applicable, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may also apply.

We collect only the information you choose to provide to us through the website or by contacting us, which may include:

We do not currently use website analytics.

We do not sell personal information.

- ShiftCare (scheduling and documentation platform);
- email, hosting, and IT/security vendors (as applicable);
- telephony services (including call handling and notifications), which may process personal information outside Canada;
- professional advisers (legal, accounting, insurance) as needed; and
- authorities where required or permitted by law (e.g., court order).
7) SHIFTCARE PTY. LTD. (scheduling and documentation)
We use ShiftCare to manage scheduling and operational documentation. ShiftCare states that customer data for Canadian users is hosted on servers located in Canada.
Even where a vendor provides Canadian hosting, vendor subprocessors and support practices can change over time. We manage this by contracting for confidentiality and security, and limiting access to those who need it.
8) Cookies
This website may use basic cookies necessary for site function (for example, to support forms or security features). We do not use analytics cookies for traffic measurement.

9) Safeguards
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10) Retention and secure disposal
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above and to meet legal, insurance, and recordkeeping requirements, then securely dispose of or anonymise it.
